Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that the patient's needs are met in a caring and professional manner and in accordance with the legislation, regulation, bylaws, policies and procedures governing the Hospital and the Cardiac Diagnostics and through interaction with the Cardiovascular Technologist and other health care professionals.

Education Requirements

  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist Diploma Program
  • Ontario Association of Cardiology Technologists (OACT) registration.
  • Committed to professional continuing education.
  • Current CPR Certification

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year current experience in an ECG lab
  • Holter application and scanning experience
  • Demonstrated general computer skills
  • Demonstrated effective communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and judgment appropriate for the position.
  • Ability to accept assigned or delegated functions
  • Ability to set priorities and organize work accordingly
  • Ability to deal with various hospital departments effectively and collaboratively
  • Ability to lift using appropriate lifting techniques and bend, push and pull using good body mechanics.
  • Safety (patient, worker & workplace) is a BCHS Corporate Priority. The successful applicant will demonstrate good stewardship in the identification, reporting and mitigation of unsafe acts or conditions.
