Construction Field Supervisor

Company Intro: Our client is a long-standing local general contracting company. They offer a full range of services in the construction field including general contracting, project management, and design build in commercial, industrial and residential construction.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager by overseeing all daily construction activities, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the company's quality standards.
• Perform direct physical work to lead or assist completion of tasks as required, primarily foundation forming, framing, roofing, insulating and finishing. (75-95% of avg. week)
• Collaborate with the Project Manager on deliveries from materials to equipment with both suppliers and vendors.
• Maintain a daily log of all site operations.
• Create schedules for workers and subcontractors
• Inspect job site daily to ensure all Health and Safety requirements are being implemented and maintained, including the proper PPE's are being worn/used on site by all employees and subcontractors.
• Evaluate employee and subcontractor performance and maintain a record of Employee absenteeism. Report any issues to the Project Manager
• Make recommendations to operations or procedures to increase efficiency.
  
  

Preferred skills and experience required:

• Minimum 3 years previous experience
• Knowledge of Building Codes and Construction Safety regulations and requirements
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and specs. to determine work requirements
• Must work be highly organized with strong problem solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Valid G license and reliable transportation.
  
  

Salary Range: $70 000 to $75 000 a year, depending on experience

Weekly pay. Overtime after 44 hours

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday 8 am to 5pm
