Our client is a leading producer of chemical & metal products, with global operations.
Job Description
- Fixed Asset Management: Maintain and oversee the company's fixed asset records, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal.
- Payroll: Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and reporting requirements.
- Pension Administration: Act as the administrator for defined contribution (DC) and defined benefit (DB) pension plans, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.
- Employee Benefits Renewal: Coordinate the annual renewal process for employee benefits, analyzing options and communicating changes to staff.
- Insurance Renewal: Manage the insurance renewal process, including evaluating coverage options and negotiating terms with providers.
- HST Management: Ensure accurate management and reporting of Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Utility Costing: Analyze and monitor utility costs, identifying trends and opportunities for cost reduction.
- KPI Reporting: Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Yearly Audit Requirements: Prepare for and facilitate the yearly audit process, ensuring all financial records are accurate and complete.
- Yearly Budgeting: Lead the annual budgeting process, working with department heads to create and monitor departmental budgets.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- CPA or actively pursuing the designation is a requirement
- Minimum of +6 years' experience in financial management or controlling, preferably in Manufacturing
- Strong understanding of fixed asset management, payroll, and pension plans
- Proficient in financial software - SAP & Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
