Position Summary

Reporting to the Clinical Manager of Centralized Resources (Float), the successful applicant will float between Brantford General Hospital departments and The Willett Hospital (Paris).

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited college nursing program
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

  • Proven critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multitask and set priorities in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to establish positive and proactive work relationships with external partners
  • Must be able to function within your full scope of practice as a RPN
  • Safety (patient, worker & workplace) is a BCHS Corporate Priority. The successful applicant will demonstrate good stewardship in the identification, reporting and mitigation of unsafe acts or conditions.

Preferred Competencies

  • Recent Medical or Surgical nursing experience
  • Recent Complex Care or Emergency experience
  • Demonstrated competence in patient assessment and care planning
  • Member of RPNAO
  • Reliable individual with excellent attendance record and able to work all shifts
