YOUR ROLE

As a New Business Development Specialist, your mission is to introduce Canadian business leaders to a more effective way of providing employee benefits. You will be responsible for identifying and connecting with high-potential clients across Canada, setting up appointments for them with our licensed advisors who will help them transition to our innovative plans.

During your onboarding period, you’ll be paired with a dedicated trainer who will provide ongoing support as you learn the ins and outs of our business.

Your training will cover everything from:

  • Understanding our company’s mission and values, learning about our target markets, products, and what sets us apart from our competitors.
  • You’ll gain a deep understanding of the challenges faced by small and medium-sized businesses in the benefits space, and how our solutions can help them overcome these challenges.
  • By the end of your onboarding, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed as a New Business Development Specialist.

What You’ll Do

  • You’ll use various tools and strategies to identify small and medium-sized businesses across Canada that would benefit from GroupHEALTH’s innovative employee benefits solutions.
  • You’ll engage with prospective clients via phone and email to introduce GroupHEALTH and its offerings.
  • You'll assess the needs and readiness of potential clients to determine if they are a good fit for our services.
  • You'll schedule meetings between qualified prospects and our licensed advisors, ensuring a smooth handoff for detailed sales conversations.
  • You’ll maintain an organized record of all interactions with prospects in our CRM system, tracking progress and ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • You'll work closely with other sales professionals, sharing insights, strategies, and best practices to optimize performance.
  • You’ll consistently work towards meeting or surpassing individual and team goals for lead generation and appointments set.
  • You’ll represent GroupHEALTH with Professionalism and ensure that every interaction reflects the company’s values and commitment to excellence, fostering positive relationships with all potential clients.

Your Compensation

At the time of this posting, the estimated annual base salary for this position is $45,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards, benefits, and potential bonuses that we proudly offer.

    • On-target earnings Year 1: $55,000+
    • On-target earnings Year 2: $65,000+
    • On-target earnings Year 3: $75,000+
