In this position, the Automotive Lot Attendant will be responsible for cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles owned by customers and those that will be placed into inventory. In this position, the Automotive Lot Attendant will be responsible for cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles owned by customers and those that will be placed into inventory. Success in this role will require someone who has the physical capabilities to effectively maneuver around, under, and inside the vehicle to ensure a thorough and satisfactory detail has been completed.
Job Description
- Daily Organization and parking of vehicles for sale
- Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (i.e. snow removal)
- Identify any lot merchandising needs or issues to the appropriate manager
- Placing signage in and on vehicles for advertising purposes
- Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process
- Lot tidiness (garbage clearing, etc)
- Responsible for the detailing of interior and exterior of customer vehicles
- Perform general car detailing activities, including, vacuuming, deodorizing, and washing
- Ensure the exterior of cars are clean and smudge free, including showroom displays
- Deliver dealer trades to neighboring stores and drive customers home as necessary
- High school diploma or GED
- Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
- Must be dependable, reliable, possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
- Excellent customer service skills
