W e are looking for a Back Parts Counter Advisor t o join our growing team! As an Automotive Back Parts Counter Advisor, you will play a crucial role in managing and organizing our parts inventory, assisting technicians, and ensuring that our parts department operates efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of automotive parts and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, organize, and manage parts inventory. Ensure stock levels are maintained and reorder parts as necessary.
  • Accurately identify and locate automotive parts using catalogs and computer systems.
  • Assist technicians and service staff with parts needs, including locating and recommending appropriate parts.
  • Process parts orders and handle parts returns, exchanges, and warranties.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, inventory levels, and special orders.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure timely and accurate parts supply for service and repair needs.
  • Provide excellent service to both internal and external customers, addressing any inquiries or concerns regarding parts.

Your Capabilities And Credentials

  • 2-3 years parts counter, technician or equivalent experience (FCA experience preferred)
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses is considered an asset
  • Experience with CDK, MPI Edge and Star Parts is considered an asset
  • A detailed understanding of Parts and Service operations and inventory management
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • A person of professionalism and high integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honours their commitments
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and resourceful
  • High-level skills in Word, Excel and MS Office etc
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and have a safe driving history
