Overview

The Industrial Electrician contributes to the success of Frito Lay Canada by performing exceptional maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment, implementing long-term solutions to reoccurring reliability issues, and enabling our predictive and preventative maintenance programs to support in the production of snack food products enjoyed by our communities.

Compensation: $46.16/hour starting wage

Sign - On Bonus Eligible

Shifts: 12 hours shifts, 7:00-7:00, rotating 4 on 4 off through dayshift and nightshift

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of site equipment.
• Completion of preventative and predictive maintenance inspections and electrical and/or mechanical repairs for all equipment within area of responsibility.
• Execute daily assigned work orders and accurate account for parts utilization.
• Manage through emergency breakdowns.
• Support in root cause analysis and prevention of future downtime events.
• Work collaboratively with operators and other classifications across the site to reduce downtime, safety and quality risks.
  
  

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyman Electrician (Alberta or Red Seal); certified Power Engineer would be an asset
• Experience maintaining industrial equipment in a past-paced environment
• Experience with predictive maintenance, instrumentation, PLC’s, and/or VFD’s would be an asset
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to prioritize multiple important priorities
• Able to lift >50 lbs, walk stairways, bend and twist, and stand up to 12 hours per day
