The Specialist, Lifecycle Parts Pricing Development is responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies for parts throughout their lifecycle. This includes new vehicle launches, end of warranty updates, and end-of-life management. The specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams, including parts operations, sales, and finance.

Essential Duties Include (but Are Not Limited To)

ANALYSIS

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies for parts at different stages of their lifecycle and identify areas of opportunity for future sales growth.
  • Establish pricing models by vehicle that support business objectives and profitability goals.
  • Prepare regular pricing reports based on performance.
  • Reviews daily and monthly reports and confirm profit and sales opportunities are being met or exceeded.
  • Act on parts pricing adjustment to maximize market share and capitalize on increasing parts demand throughout the lifecycle of all parts.
  • Monitor the aftermarket for price fluctuation trends.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Perform monthly/weekly reviews of each carline and adjust parts pricing to increase parts sales and profits throughout the lifecycle.
  • Ensure System maintenance will be accurate and DMS vendors will have the most current pricing information.
  • Ensure all pricing strategies and changes comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Ensure all pricing documentation is up to date.

COMMUNICATION

  • Respond to Management, Retailer and Regional staff inquiries and concerns regarding parts pricing.
  • Communicate with stakeholders in a prompt and timely manner regarding price changes.

NEGOTIATION

  • Communicate with vendors and Management to increase parts sales and profits.
  • Competitively price parts sourcing throughout the lifecycle and work closely with Inventory to ensure appropriate supply availability for the network.

Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required)

  • Post-Secondary education preferably in business, economics, commerce or related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical skills including ability to calculate margins, discounts, profits, and percentages.
  • Experience defining problems, collecting data, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, manage, and complete assigned tasks in accordance with established standards and deadlines.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills (oral and written) with staff, management, retailers, and vendors.
  • Self-motivated and easily adaptive to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office with superior Microsoft Excel skills.
