ACCOUNTABLE TO: Director of Infrastructure

Brief Overview

Under the direction of the MN-S Director of Infrastructure and/or Operations Manager, the Events & Property Coordinator will provide direct support to the Infrastructure & Housing Departments in the administration of various developments which support MN-S core governance growth in support of Métis Citizens. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communications skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation, and operation of the event planning and property management framework
  • Assist in budgeting, financial analysis, monitoring, and reporting
  • Accounts receivable and payable processing
  • Generate and issue invoices, processing payments, recording financial transactions, and monitoring accounts
  • Booking, planning, coordinating, executing, and reporting both internal and external events
  • Tenant communications regarding rent payments, and maintenance requests/schedules.
  • Assist with property management tasks, including recording/completing maintenance requests, data entry, maintenance schedules
  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel and contractors to manage maintenance requests
  • Collaborate with property supervisors to ensure event success and manage event requests and obligations
  • Work with booking software and property management software daily
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with tenants, suppliers, contractors, and other departments
  • As directed, work with site-based staff to issue purchase orders for required materials, tools, or contract work
  • Other duties/responsibilities as determined by the Director of Infrastructure or designate.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an administrative role or other similar level position
  • Recognized course in Business Administration or related studies and/or experience
  • Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Adobe, Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in customer service or tenant relationships
  • Event planning experience would be considered an asset
  • Experience in the housing sector would be considered an asset

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team and independently
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Proven event management and administrative experience
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of accounting, data, and administrative management practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of clerical practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of human resources management practices and procedures
  • Relationship management practices
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel

Additional requirements:

  • The position is based on a 37.5-hour work week, Monday through Friday, and includes a total rewards package
  • Must undergo a Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector
  • Must be willing to travel for work (day travel)
  • Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
