The Product Manager for our Aircraft Reliability product will be responsible for its development and advancement. As the Product Manager, you will build a vision for the Reliability software product and work with your team to ensure a high level of quality and seamless integration with our other products. The Product Manager will oversee the dedicated Reliability team, keeping them on track and focused on progress. This individual will stay informed about advancements in the broader Reliability software environment, ensuring our product remains an industry leader. As the Product Manager, your leadership will directly influence our market position and customer satisfaction in the aviation software industry.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as the primary advocate and point of contact for the product, both internally and externally, conducting product demos to potential and existing clients.
  • Eager and enthusiastic about maintaining good communication with existing clients to further knowledge of Reliability subject matter.
  • Create and maintain a strategic roadmap that aligns with company objectives and customer needs.
  • Oversee product development, leading the product through major upgrades and ongoing enhancements.
  • Ensure seamless integration with other software products, collaborating closely with other teams to maintain cohesion between the Aircraft Reliability product and the core maintenance and inventory software.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, support, and other departments to ensure the product's success.
  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback, utilizing insights to inform product strategy and improvements.
  • Determine staffing needs and manage resources with autonomy, presenting a business case for changes when necessary.
  • Monitor product performance by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer adoption rates and satisfaction scores, and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Ensure the product complies with all industry regulations and standards
  • Report to leadership, providing regular updates to the director and other stakeholders on product status and performance.
  • Assist with creating presentation content for annual user conferences, and presenting Reliability at these events.


Education & Training

  • Minimum of College Diploma in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Project Management or related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of product management experience, preferably in the aviation or software industry.

Skills and Aptitudes

  • Ability to lead and inspire a dedicated team focused on product development and advancement.
  • Strong decision-making skills for guiding teams through major product upgrades and enhancements.
  • Forward-thinking with the ability to foresee industry trends and advancements in Reliability software.
  • Proven track record of launching and managing successful software products.
  • Experience with aircraft maintenance, inventory management, or reliability systems is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational skills for managing team resources and determining staffing needs with autonomy.
  • Ability to present a business case for changes when necessary.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs while maintaining the product's competitive edge.
  • Strong public speaking skills to represent the Reliability product at external and internal events.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to serve and maintain as the primary advocate and point of contact for the product, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and other departments such as sales, marketing, and support to ensure product success.

Certification/Licenses

  • Certification training in statistics or data management would be an advantage.

Environment and Physical

  • Must reside in Ontario, Canada
  • Be able to work remotely
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Be able to sit for prolonged periods of time
