Parliamentary Office Director

The office of a federal Member of Parliament is currently seeking a Parliamentary Office Director. In this role, you will be supporting the parliamentary office and the Member with their communications, the management of their calendar, their correspondence with stakeholders and the constituency office.
The office of the Member of Parliament is fast-paced but rewarding. You will be working with collaborative individuals who keep the interests of their constituents at the heart of their work.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide assistance and support to the Member of Parliament with her work in committees and the Chamber;
- Coordinate the management of their calendar, including meetings, chamber responsibilities and information sessions;
- Ability to write proficiently and act in accordance with the communication needs of the MP;
- Perform general administrative duties including phone calls and emails;
- Perform other miscellaneous tasks as required.
- Previous experience in a political office is a requirement;
- Experience leading in an fast-paced office environment;
- Experience working with others and taking direction;
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks at a time;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
- Exceptional written communication, tact and diplomacy.
