Valve Technician, Oil and Gas Services - Grande Prairie

Sideworx Connect offers positions for both employees and independent contractors. We specialize in placing short-term and seasonal employees, allowing you control over your schedule and a chance to explore a multitude of projects.

We’re seeking Experienced Valve Technicians that are local to the Grande Prairie, AB area.

Duties May Include But Are Not Limited To

• Checking manufactured items for defects and for conformance to specifications, visually or using sample models and instruments
• Shutting off service and notifying repair crews when major repairs are required, such as the replacement of underground pipes or wiring
• Dismantling valves using hand and/or power tools
• Undertaking exterior refinishing to protect repaired valves from field conditions
• Installing regulators and related equipment such as gas meters, odorization
  
  

Mechanical aptitude along with specific technical training on valves and valve repair is an asset. Please ensure you meet all the below criteria before applying for this position.

Education

• Diploma in instrumentation, electrical, electrical or mechanical engineering technology is preferred
  
  

Certifications

• Standard and Emergency First Aid & CPR - Level C
• H2S Alive
• Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
  
  

Licensing

• Class 5 driver’s license and clean driving record is preferred
