Hours of Work: 7:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Duties: The Concession Worker prepares and serves food to students and other patrons of the school concession. They also perform cashier duties, clear tables, clean kitchen areas, wash dishes, and perform various other activities related to serving food and beverages.

Education & Qualifications

A minimum of Grade 12 diploma from a recognized institution as approved by the Board of Education or General Educational Development (GED)

A minimum of one (1) year experience operating and managing a catering or food business required for permanent employment and preferred for casual employment

Safe Food Handling Course Certificate

Standard First Aid Certificate

Valid Class 5 driver’s license

Physical Requirements: The ability to do heavy work is required in some assignments (i.e., exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to lift students and/or move objects).

Wage & Benefits: In accordance with the current CUPE Local 5512 Collective Bargaining Agreement. Currently, this is a range of $18.80 - $21.29 per hour.
