West Coast Animal Veterinary Emergency Specialty Hospital (WAVES) is a n emergency and multi-specialty hospital l ocated in the heart of the West Shore of Vancouver Island , approximately 20 minutes from downtown Victoria. If you love the outdoors and are looking for year-round recreation opportunities with a flexible schedule, then this is the place for you!
WAVES offers 24/7 care alongside boarded specialists in critical care, surgery, internal medicine, neurology, and interventional radiology/endoscopy. The beautiful new er 9,700 sq foot hospital features an in-house lab, dedicated ICU, digital radiology, ultrasound, MRI, in-house CT, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, underwater treadmill, and 3 fully equipped surgical suites. We are equipped to handle high acuity cases from all over Vancouver Island.
Previous ER experience, especially internship training, is an ass et , or v eterinarians with 2+ years of GP clinical experience . Shift work including over nights, weekends, and holidays will be required in order to offer 24/7 emergency covera ge. Overall, th e position offers flexibility in scheduling and allows for ample time to spend with family or pursue hobbies .
