Job Description

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Shift Manager, the Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages with the strictest regard to rules, regulations, and operational guidelines while contributing to a safe environment for all team members. This role will work with team members to maintain the highest quality of service and hospitality while ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure guests feel welcomed and contribute to a service culture that exemplifies Gordon Ramsay brand standards.
  • Take orders and make recommendations.
  • Prepare beverages; serve guests and check to ensure satisfaction.
  • Resolve guest issues or escalate to management for assistance.
  • Clean tables or counters, removes glasses and re-stocks where applicable.
  • Perform opening or closing duties as required.
  • Count cash float at end of shift if applicable.
  • Cover other bartenders’ sections when required.
  • Exercise good judgment when serving alcoholic beverages according to Serving it Right and the house liquor policy.
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Education And Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of bartending experience.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Post Secondary hospitality education an asset or bartending certificate an asset.
  • Serving it Right Certificate required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for exceeding expectations.
  • POS experience an asset.
  • Able to lift 25 pounds.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines with particular attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability plan effectively and work without direct supervision.
