PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Work in the interesting and complex world of class action services and learn from one of the top administrative-support providers in the country. We are currently looking for bright and ambitious individuals to fill the position of Case Coordinator. The Case Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day management of class action settlements in which RicePoint has been retained to administer. Provides assistance to the Manager and Vice Presidents when requested and provides daily support. Responsibilities include project management and direct oversight of court-imposed duties and services on class action settlements from inception through completion. The Case Coordinator helps coordinate with Operations and other departments to effectively manage all project requirements.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Interact and provide service for clients, clients’ counsel and other professionals
Data gathering and management of databases
Coordinate large scale and/or complex mailings including preparation of affidavits of service
Perform review and reconciliation of Proofs of Claim
Prepare and reformat various claims reports
Manage and update Verita public access websites with respect to important dates, documents and per client requests
Resource planning and scheduling
Responsible for ensuring governing documents (e.g. Court Orders, Settlement Agreements, and contracts) are complied with during the life of the project.
Manage project costs: forecast and manage budgets
Review and approve client invoices
Manage all claimant inquiries (e.g. email, phone and correspondence) to ensure communication, fulfilment (e.g. website content, FAQs, CSR scripts) and escalation when necessary
Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, NitroPDF and PowerPoint.
Ability to quickly learn and navigate proprietary software

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university
1-2 years of related experience in legal or financial work; or equivalent combination of education and experience
High proficiency in writing and reading comprehension
High proficiency in basic arithmetic skills
Ability to perform these operations using units of Canadian money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
