This role provides essential support on various areas of Human Resources with a focus on Recruitment and Learning & Development. This position contributes to expanding the team’s capacity in various administrative tasks directly associated with the recruitment process and learning & development process. Additional support may be required for other HR functions.


Responsibilities:

  • Offers comprehensive administrative support to the Recruitment Team to ensure seamless operations which includes but not limited to – formatting job requisitions, creating posting reports, recruitment bulletin and managing the Hiring email account(s).
  • Assists recruitment team with pre-screening screening and initial contact of applicants to determine qualification and interest level.
  • Participate in candidate sourcing through diverse pools and avenues such as associations, educational institutions, career fairs and events.
  • Ensure internal job boards, external employment advertising and Careers page are up to date. This will include reviewing career pages regularly to ensure jobs postings have accurate details.
  • Serves as resource for recruitment policies, procedures, and practices to supervisors, managers, and others.
  • Supports the recruitment team in additional administrative tasks including HR dashboard, candidate tracker and uploading documents in ACCESS.
  • Create an exceptional candidate experience and guide them through the hiring and onboarding process.
  • Be an ambassador and assist with developing the company's brand as a Top employer.
  • Manage administration function of LMS including, troubleshooting, training, and scheduling offerings for classroom & on-line delivery.
  • Support implementation of new training courses and programs.
  • Coordinate multiple training schedules and calendars with all levels of management, assign instructors, distribute course materials, assign facilities and equipment.
  • Prepare analysis of program costs, people analytics, and prepare summary reports.
  • Create learning plans, develop learning material, including presentations, and reference guides.
  • Assist with training audits – generate reports, access course completions.
  • Liaise between cross functional business groups and IT teams to provide customized technology and training solutions.
  • Support development programs such as Talent Review and Focused Development
  • Evaluate learning solutions based on needs; including third party training programs and provide recommendations.
  • Participate in the development and action of yearly competency performance work plan(s) and development action plan(s).
  • Provide leadership in the areas of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), including participate in HSE activities, ensuring employees are knowledgeable about and comply with HSE policies, procedures and legislation, assist in identifying unhealthy, unsafe situations and ensure corrective action is taken.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Education, business administration or related field (diploma, certificate or degree)
  • Working knowledge of a LMS and HRIS
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate superior customer service
  • Results-oriented, with the ability to complete assignments on time and manage multiple priorities
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail


Desirable Qualifications:

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • 1-2 years of related experience
