Service Technician – Bilingual (French & English)

Preferred Required

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electromechanical systems and industrial environments. An emphasis on troubleshooting and strong customer management skills would be preferred. Oral and written French language is required.Duties:

  • Install, commission, and train on new industrial food packaging and inspection equipment across Canada
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibrations on equipment
  • Communicate with equipment manufacturers to provide solutions and upgrades
  • Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Provide after-hours phone and technical support as required

Skills And Requirements

  • Proficient in English and French
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within Canada for periods of up to 2 weeks
  • Analyze problems and implement solutions independently with high self-motivation
  • Experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment
  • Strong computer skills for communication and equipment diagnostics
  • Ability to manage small teams for installation and project start-up
  • College diploma in electro/mechanical trade or licensed trade
  • 3-5 years experience preferred
  • Canadian permanent resident or citizen
  • Valid class G license with satisfactory driver abstract
  • Valid passport and ability to occasionally travel to the United States and Europe

Job Details

  • Full-time position
  • Pay: $32.00-$36.00 per hour
  • Expected hours: 40-50 per week
  • Benefits include automobile allowance, dental care, disability insurance, extended health care, life insurance, paid time off, and profit sharing
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, on-call, overtime, weekends as needed
  • Work location: In-person
