Reporting to the Executive Director, you will embark on a profoundly rewarding journey as Hospice Halifax seeks an exceptional individual to lead the philanthropy team’s efforts in funding programs that sustain the organization’s exceptional approach to hospice care. The chosen candidate will bring strong fundraising leadership skills and will be positioned to advance major gift activities, fund development, donor relations, and community outreach. Your exceptional communication skills will help strengthen Hospice Halifax’s donor pipeline, while your ability to mobilize people will allow you to inspire large groups of volunteers and mobilize support for outstanding events such as Light Up A Life, Feeling the Love, and Hike for Hospice. A passion for tracking success through innovative fundraising strategies and key performance indicators (KPIs) will be critical to your success in this role.

The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of senior philanthropy experience, thrive in a culture where excellence in care is paramount, and be committed to building strong practices for stable growth to continue supporting the community.
