GENERAL ACCOUNTA
BILITYReporting directly to the Director of Supply Chain, the Logistics and Customs Specialist will lead transformational change in logistics and perform the analysis around those changes to discover and support the decisions the company makes to strive for continuous improvement(s). Will also support and cross train with other members of the team within shipping and receiving including all other shipping and outgoing delivery functions including handling custom broker requirements, dealing with freight forwarders, and completing all shipping documents, and provide support to the Shipping/Receiving/Packing func
tions.
Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabi
- lities:Initiate and lead transformational change(s) in logistics including sourcing and negotiating for better rates and terms including determining available options for best delivered
- servicePerform the analysis around proposed changes to discover and support the decisions the company makes to strive for continuous improve

- ipmentsDeal with transportation companies for both sales and purchasing depa
- rtmentsDealing with custom broker regarding HS Codes and USMCA shipping requirements and
- issuesFacilitating the Canadian goods return and preparing import manifests and custom clearances, Bill of Lading prep
- arationPreparation of Air and Ocean Import/Export documentation for custom cl
- earanceDealing with Freight Forwarders for the daily shipment procedure and trans-border requi
- rementsUpdate and control HS codes for Romet parts on Business
- CentralAccurately output journal of all the serial numbers daily on Business Central for all the meters and modules ready for s
- hippingCollecting copies of the order cards and the originals after the post-s
- hipmentTracking and scheduling of all the deliveries ensuring that all the delivery requirements
- are metMaintain inspection certificate, records, and control customer
