Join our team as a Senior Analyst, Corporate Development! In this role you’ll be providing financial and strategic analysis of potential Merger and Acquisition transactions. You will also evaluate financial and strategic considerations related to our business operations, playing a key part in shaping our growth and success.

We are ideally seeking a candidate located in Calgary.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Managing vendor relationships throughout the merger and acquisition cycle
  • Developing and managing financial models for acquisitions
  • Structuring analyses efficiently to ensure accurate conclusions with an economy of time and effort
  • Performing in-depth research and strategic analysis on industries and/or organizations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional project or deal teams to conduct diligence, review transaction documents, or coordinate inputs for financial modelling
  • Partnering with external counterparties, including organizations, and financial, consulting, or legal advisors
  • Creating presentation materials that effectively summarize strategic and financial analysis, key takeaways associated with an opportunity
  • Crafting and presenting clear, concise communications to our senior leadership team

As The Successful Candidate You Have

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field
  • A CPA or CBV designation, or working towards designation
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in mergers and acquisitions, due diligence and transaction advisory
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent financial modelling skills, including experience with some or all of the following:
    • Valuation analysis, using CCF and DCF methods and purchase price allocation
    • Mergers and acquisitions
    • Bank capital measurement/requirement analysis
  • Knowledge of financial accounting, corporate tax, capital markets, and valuation concepts
  • Strong research skills, excellent problem solving and conceptual thinking skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated success with team management and project management, including the ability to handle multiple projects at once
  • Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset
