Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the real estate investment industry, located in Burlington, Ontario. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth accounts payable operations, making it an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment and enjoys collaborating within a supportive, fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify invoices in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring all payments are correctly authorized.
• Manage and reconcile account transactions, working closely with internal departments to gather and analyze financial data.
• Address discrepancies in purchase orders, payments, and invoices, maintaining up-to-date vendor accounts.
• Perform bank, account, and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Obtain necessary approvals and ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
• Leverage NetSuite and Excel for accurate data entry and invoice management.
• Respond to and resolve vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor and maintain customer account accuracy, taking appropriate corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare accurate financial reports and maintain detailed records for auditing purposes.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated experience in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) management.
• Strong data entry skills to ensure accurate input of financial information.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proactive and problem-solving mindset to resolve any discrepancies or issues in accounts payable.
