Job Purpose

You will design experiences for a large-scale eCommerce platform that will set the standards for others to follow. This includes bringing as much enthusiasm for production, repurposing, resizing and leveraging design systems as you do to crafting new ones. You are design focused, detail-oriented, excellent at collaborating and multitasking, and eager to be part of a team that makes things come to life. You are inspired by technology and the role brands play in culture today. You thrive navigating complexity within teams, organizations, and creativity. Leadership is exciting to you but you’re also willing to follow others because you understand that great ideas can come from anywhere.

You possess a strong design intuition and want to continue to learn, grow and challenge yourself. You also have a strong desire to ensure that clients are extremely satisfied with our services and products. In addition, you possess strong problem-solving skills and a track record of success.

You will have a hand in both designing web pages within the framework of a large Design System and ensuring that visual assets are perfectly processed for web-readiness and hand off for build.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Supporting design development: You’ll collaborate with a team of designers and copywriters to bring digital ideas to life.
  • Digital asset delivery: with an exacting eye, ensure that layouts and assets are pixel perfect.
  • Receive asset handoffs, organize them, export and compress, then communicate effectively so they can be easily referenced and integrated by content managers and engineering teams.
  • Implement efficient working processes for asset production and enhance communication methods.
  • Optimize and compress assets, balance image quality and file weight for responsive viewports.
  • Perform visual QA, focusing on asset quality as it interacts with code and design systems.
  • Contribute to the design and production of large-scale digital projects for Google including e-commerce, content, branding, social and more.
  • Build presentations, craft documentation and deliver asset kits to developers and other team members.
  • Design, repurpose and package regional kits for global regions.
  • Acts as a leader and a team player by contributing to the creative execution of the company’s efforts and putting the client and the team before yourself.
  • Responsible for bringing a point-of-view with fresh perspectives to the team.

  • Design tool mastery:
    • Figma or similar tools - proven experience using components and design system libraries.
    • Photoshop, from a technical perspective - understanding layer interactions such as blending mode, masking, artboards, smart objects; export settings and computer graphics (not to be confused with graphic design).
    • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to build presentations and confidently present to stakeholders at all levels in a professional and effective manner.
    • An open and curious mind in all areas of creative and design work and the ability to remain positive even in the most challenging of situations.
    • A solid point-of-view and a collaborative nature.
    • Excellent organizational skills and a very high level of attention to detail.
    • High level of ability to set goals and priorities in a constantly changing environment.
