As our new Operations Lead – Pacific & Yukon, you will lead and manage Site Assessment & Remediation Operations in our Pacific & Yukon regions, managing a group of experienced and motivated professionals across seven offices.

Job Description

What you’ll be doing

Working within our Site Assessment & Remediation group and reporting directly to the Technical Discipline Manager within the region, you will be a leader in operations management, including mentoring and growing teams of professionals to achieve and exceed their career goals.

Ideally, you will also have contaminated sites assessment and remediation program experience including program planning, implementation, and completion, along with regulatory stakeholder consultation.

A collaborative working style, client-centric advisory mindset, with superb technical skills and regulatory knowledge will also be critical to your success.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:


  • Support the Pacific & Yukon Site Assessment & Remediation Technical Discipline Manager and Business Lead with the delivery of key technical and business development initiatives, including major proposal preparation for clients across multiple business sectors
  • Oversee financial performance, strategic hire recruitment and retention, coaching, development, and health and safety leadership
  • Provide leadership to support, collaborate and build connectivity and alignment between our Site Assessment & Remediation teams within the region to drive team performance and client satisfaction
  • Location is flexible, but ideally located within BC

Qualifications and attributes we are looking for:


  • Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a technical background in environmental site assessments, remediation, or contamination hydrogeology preferred. Specialization in other environmental disciplines will be considered
  • Proven success managing a team of professionals in a consulting environment
  • Working knowledge of provincial, local and industry specific regulations and guidelines
  • Professional status (e.g. P.Geo, P.Eng, P.Ag., or R.P.Bio.) or eligibility for professional status in BC – additional credentials in other provinces is an asset. Master’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required for travel to job sites/client meetings
