Here's how a Communications Specialist for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic communications consultation on companywide initiatives, which includes research, planning, and execution.
  • Creates compelling written and visual content for PCL’s communication channels, working closely with the Creative Services team to meet video and graphic design requirements.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with numerous internal clients.
  • Publishes on PCL’s intranet and supports internal communications platforms and products.
  • Understands PCL’s brand and applies branding (language and visual elements) to communication products.

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., communications, marketing, public relations or journalism).
  • A minimum of five years of experience in communications and/or marketing.
  • Strong project management and time management skills.
  • Writes compelling content that can be adapted for a variety of mediums.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experience with Adobe creative software such as InDesign and Photoshop is considered an asset.
