About Our Client

Our client is a leading construction firm specializing in large-scale projects throughout Ontario, committed to quality, safety, and innovation. As they expand their operations in the Hamilton area, they are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee projects valued between $15 million and $80 million.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and project objectives.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to maximize project efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure effective communication and cooperation.
  • Monitor project progress and performance through regular site visits, addressing issues and implementing solutions as needed.
  • Uphold safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to foster a safe working environment.
  • Prepare and deliver project reports, including status updates, budget analyses, and risk assessments, to stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and formulate strategies to mitigate them.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, change orders, and project documentation to ensure all aspects are managed effectively.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction project management, particularly with large-scale projects.
  • Proven track record managing 1 to 3 full-cycle new build institutional projects valued between $15M and $80M.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and regulations in Ontario.
  • PMP, LEED, or Gold Seal certifications are considered assets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in construction management software and tools.
