Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the sales team, supporting them in processing client applications.
  • Manage cases between carriers and agents to ensure all underwriting requirements are fulfilled. This involves meticulously reviewing client applications to confirm that they are complete for the underwriting process.
  • Provide case consultancy services to the agents.
  • Liaise with carrier contacts regarding pending cases.
  • Flag product suitability and review variable rate illustrations.
  • Propose improvements to processes and technology.
  • Perform additional duties related to the New Business Department as assigned by the immediate manager.


Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of Case Management, experience in the life insurance industry.
  • Previous experience working at an MGA will be given preference.
  • Basic understanding of life insurance products is a strong asset
  • Basic understanding of the underwriting process.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities -- Capable of managing tight deadlines and multiple priorities effectively.
  • Effective problem-solving and investigative skills.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, proactive, with a keen sense of ownership and initiative.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Approachable and professional in delivering suboptimal information via in-person, phone, and email interactions.
  • Strong computer skills with a capacity to learn new systems.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Positive demeanor with an openness to constructive feedback.
  • Proficiency in French or Spanish is a significant asset; willingness to learn these languages is also valued.
