We are seeking a Procurement Student for our Canadian Industrial Division that is available for 8 months starting in January 2025. This position will be under the direct supervisor of the District Procurement Manager.

Here's how a(n) Procurement Student for our Edmonton Industrial Management office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing materials, services and equipment as directed and in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Identifying and selecting vendors to purchase requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality, safety, and delivery date.
  • Expediting orders.
  • Shipping and receiving.
  • Maintaining inventory levels and records.
  • Preparing procurement reports and documentation as required.
  • Providing equipment administration support.
  • Practicing PCL safety practices.
  • Assisting in all aspects, as is reasonably available, of procurement & equipment management activities.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain Management or Operations Management specialization in a post-secondary institution.
  • Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with co-workers.
  • Ability to perform multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
