As the Program Coordinator – Infrastructure Project Services, you will be responsible for coordinating and administering the delivery of one or more programs (ie. Gateway program) and related infrastructure projects within the Infrastructure Division. As assigned, the Program Coordinator will collect and analyze project-level information and produce program-level reports and dashboards to help ensure coordination of inter-departmental contributions to the program and the efficient and consistent planning, execution, monitoring and controlling of elements common to the projects such as risk, schedule, resources, engagement and Indigenous consultation; among others.

What You Do

  • Write briefing papers, business cases, submissions, reports and presentations to facilitate program approvals.
  • Prepare requests for proposal; participate in the selection of consultants and contractors for services retained at the program level.
  • Collect, analyze and summarize project-level information and prepare program-level reports and dashboards.
  • Prepare high level schedules for program coordination and resource management purposes.
  • Provide program coordination advice to the appointed Project Manager.
  • Coordinate the planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and reporting of program level work activities, risks and budget.
  • Contribute to and administer the planning and delivery of VFPA’s Project Management Framework for capital projects, which includes project management systems, processes, practices and tools.
  • Prepare documentation, work instructions, and other training material for the framework.


What You Bring

  • You will have a university degree in civil engineering, business or project management from a recognized educational institution.
  • You will possess a minimum of three (3) years related experience in the concurrent delivery of multiple complex infrastructure projects including project monitoring and reporting, business requirement gathering, and process improvements. CAPM and/or other equivalent project management certification is required.
  • You will have excellent communication skills, both oral and written and a high level of computer proficiency including including expertise with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Visio and other presentation and database applications.
  • You will be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively and positively with all contacts, internally and externally.
  • You will be able to work independently, accurately and on own initiative to maintain work output with minimum supervision.

Location: Vancouver, Canada

Job type: Bargaining Unit, Full-Time, Temporary, Hybrid.

Working environment: Normal office conditions.
