Your Next Challenge

Reporting to the Director, you will be part of the Procurement Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Define and implement best in class practises as it relates to all aspects of inventory management;
  • Provide reports and analysis to meet operational requirements and to enable strategic initiatives by providing visibility;
  • Inventory optimization by balancing investment in inventory versus inventory performance;
  • Accountable to implement the inventory standard for all Ontario and Quebec Operations;
  • Support implementation of the inventory standard across other AEM operations as directed;
  • Drive inventory optimization across the operations by working closely with mine and regional management to ensure that the operations have the appropriate levels of inventory to support their operations;
  • Accountable for min/max reorder points that meet established service levels;
  • Accountable to minimize and action slow moving inventory;
  • Accountable to establish and meet inventory turnover targets;
  • Ensure that all inventory forms are signed and completed according to the procedures;
  • Owner of inventory controls and support internal and external audits;
  • Assist team as required in change management initiatives.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Business or Supply Chain Diploma, and/or appropriate work experience;
  • Experience in an industrial setting or heavy industry (mining experience is an asset);
  • Must have strong interpersonal, communication and team-building skills;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Your Work Schedule

  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Based in Timmins, Kirkland Lake, Rouyn-Noranda, Val-d’Or, Toronto, Montreal, North Bay, or Sudbury) with travel to Site(s) as required.
