Job Title: Vice President, Operations
Shift: Monday - Friday Days; hours may vary based on business needs
Salary: $125,000 - $140,000
Location: Burlington, Ontario - South Service Rd & Harvester Rd; on-site daily
We are hiring for a dynamic VP of Operations for our client in Burlington. This company is a non-asset-based 3PL distributing across North America. As the VP of Operations, you will oversee the Customer Service, Logistics, and Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in a similar non-asset based organization, with 3-5 years in a senior management role.Core Responsibilities:
· Manage the Customer Service, Logistics, and Operations departments by providing support and guidance to managers and associates.
· Mentor, evaluate, and drive performance of the Operations team, resolve issues with inefficiency proactively.
· Collaborating with senior management to create business development initiatives that align with company goals and objectives for growth.
· Oversee company budget for projects, operational headcount, and corporate spending; controlling costs and reviewing budget proposals.
· Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management. Including software, hardware, and systems to ensure that the company remains competitive and to maintain adherence to industry standards.
· Collaborate with HR to recruit and onboard new operations employees, manage performance, address and resolve issues, and review employee compensation, and expand training and development programs.
· Working alongside the company President and Vice President to address company and departmental needs, attract new clients, grow the business, and manage operations.
· Organize and lead meetings with executives and department heads to review management plans and shape company directives.
· Take company responsibility when necessary - in the absence of the President or VP
· Other related duties as assigned.

· Creative in developing new strategies to drive process improvement
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics or another industry-related field; MBA preferred but not required
· 10+ years of industry experience - focus on North American third-party logistics
· 3-5 years of senior management experience required
· 5-8 years of experience managing process improvement and operations
· Transportation Management Software (TMS) experience required
· Advanced skill in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
