You As a Quality Coordinator Will

  • Review and update the Civil Construction Quality Management Plan while supporting continuous improvement
  • Support project teams in the Edmonton area with the execution of subcontractor Pre-construction meetings and leading quality expectation discussions
  • Review Subcontractor’s Quality Plans (SQPs) and Inspection and Testing Plans (ITP’s)
  • Attend weekly team meetings relating to construction and quality matters
  • Coordinate external inspection and testing by consultants and the client
  • Coordinate inspections and testing by subcontractors and testing agencies
  • Perform onsite field inspections pertaining to scopes of work and compile weekly quality reports and photographic documentation
  • Review quality checklists, testing reports, and photos to ensure project-specific requirements are being met
  • Support project teams with filing and management of quality documentation received from third-party consultants and subcontractors
  • Support project teams with the review of subcontractor material receiving reports on items used for permanent works
  • Monitor the progress of work as it relates to design drawings and technical specifications
  • Manage and support project teams with the Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) and deficiency process
  • Coordinate quality documentation received from subcontractors, review and comment on documentation as it relates to specification requirements for turnover
  • Support and lead internal and external audits of the Quality Management System


 Is this the right role for you?

  • You have a Professional Engineering designation in Alberta or are a Certified Engineering Technologist, preference will be given to those with construction inspection experience on major highway and Bridge construction projects
  • You have a working knowledge of quality control program requirements and techniques
  • You can proactively detect site issues and work in conjunction with the site team to rectify
