Work Arrangements:Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements, this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (combination of working onsite and telework). Employees in this position who telework will be required to travel to the identified work site at least three times per week at their own expense.

The Role

We are looking for a Program Coordinator to support our Health, Safety and Environment Branch. The Program Coordinator would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

The Program Coordinator ensures the effective delivery of corporate health, safety and/or environmental programs by administering and coordinating program activities. The Program Coordinator will develop & maintain related processes, ensure timely reporting and support the implementation of the program to clients through HSE employees and/or local COSH committees.

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:

Education

Secondary school diploma according to provincial standards.

Post-secondary education and training in a relevant field (for ex.: administration, health & safety, environment, project management) may be considered an asset.

Experience

  • Experience in developing procedures, processes and tools related to the administration and operations of programs.
  • Experience in administering and coordinating multiple program activities simultaneously with competing priorities.
  • Experience in building cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience using MS Office suite of tools, collaboration tools and general database management.

Experience in the following may be considered as assets but not required:

  • Experience working within the Federal Government of Canada.
  • Experience working in the field of health, safety and environment.

Compensation

Salary under review

From $60,143 to $70,963 per annum.
