As a Senior Accountant in Audit you'll be:

  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional service to clients under varying reporting frameworks across different industries and sectors
  • Planning, preparing and executing financial statement audits, reviews and compilations, including budget and resource requirement planning
  • Providing solutions to our clients on current business and financial conditions
  • Preparing various types of tax returns (personal, trust, and corporate) and responding to CRA requests for information
  • Bookkeeping and investment accounting for corporation
  • Contributing to the building of our reputation as the preferred business advisors in key sectors of our growing practice
  • Mentoring, coaching and providing timely feedback to junior colleagues

Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Senior Accountant? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:

  • CPA designation or final stages of CPA
  • Completion of relevant university/college program
  • A minimum two years’ work experience in public practice
  • Strong technical expertise in audit, accounting and tax with a commitment to excellence to detail
  • Passion for client service, entrepreneurial and business advisor focus
  • Experience reviewing smaller engagement files and sections of larger engagement files
  • Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
  • Proven problem solver with solid analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset
  • Experience in leading teams of professionals on diverse engagements
