What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Collecting pans/dishes from the line
  • Assisting with food preparations (cutting vegetables)
  • Running food to the tables
  • Stocking coolers and refrigerators and ensuringall equipment and other items are storedproperly
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
  • Operate in a fast-paced manner to provide all areas of the restaurant with clean, sanitized dishware
  • Assist with various duties such as portioning food and cleaning/sanitizing to assist kitchen operations
  • Maintain quality andspeed of output
  • Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Food Service Industryand:

  • Previous Kitchen Associateexperience is an asset
  • Must have excellent communication skills, be able to work efficiently in a team setting as well as independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have a strong work ethic
  • This is a physical job requiring the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds on occasion
  • Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
  • FoodSafe Level 1 is an asset
  • Preferred candidates will have open availability and be able to work a variety of shifts 7 days a week
  • This position is based at the Highwayman Pub Abbotsford, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
