As the Disability Claims Administrator, you will be responsible for the management of Total & Permanent disability claims, CPP applications, assessment referrals and payment of Accidental Medical Treatment Benefit claims.

How You Will Create Impact

  • Providing initial CPP Disability application assistance to disability claimants and following up with Plan Members until application is received and complete.
  • Calculating CPP over/under payments and code the applicable entries in the system.
  • Overseeing and managing Total and Permanent Disability Files.
  • Reviewing statements for changes in condition, income or activities and identifying those that require escalation to a Disability Case Manager for review.
  • Issuing payments in accordance with pre-determined terms and timeframes upon reviewing supplementary health and claimant statements.
  • Answering toll-free line calls from Employers, Employees, Third Party Administrators and Treatment Providers, respond to basic inquiries, and identifying when calls are complex calls and require transfer to a Disability Case Manager.
  • Working with medical assessment professionals and claimants to coordinate independent medical exams.
  • Assessing and paying Accidental Medical Treatment Benefit claims in accordance with policy provisions including documentation received and ensuring the accuracy of data and requesting additional information if required.

To Join Our Team

  • You have a minimum of 1 years’ Group Benefits experience with Disability Claims experience preferred.
  • You have completion a post-secondary technical diploma in a related program. Having Medical Terminology is an asset.
