Technical Writer (BioTech)

Apex Systems is a large staffing and consulting firm and we are looking for a Technical Writer with experience in tech writing for biotechnology firms, with knowledge of writing source documents, microbiology techniques (cell culture), cGMP documentation, and CGT (Cell and Gene Therapy) experience, for one of our biotech clients in Toronto.

Client: Biotechnology company

Contract/Perm & duration: 6-month contract (possibility of extension/conversion)

Location: Hamilton

This position will be working 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

Team Info:

• Collaboration: Supply Chain, Operations, Quality team
• Communication: Will be provided hardware (laptop) and using MSFT to collaborate internally.
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Write and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), with 80 SOPs due in the next 6 months.
• There are templates in place and examples to reference.
• Meet deadlines for document generation and reviews, as required
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Minimum Requirements:

• Basic understanding of cell culture and/or Pharma/BioPharma Manufacturing activities
• 3+ years of experience with technical writing skills, experience writing technical documents for GMP Manufacturing and Operational activities
• Experience with CGT (Cell and Gene Therapy) documentation
• Experience writing SOPs for CGT or Biologics Manufacturing
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Proven track record in output of large number of high quality, highly collaborative approved documentation
