Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Senior Raw Materials Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for driving supply chain operational excellence within our raw materials vendor base You will work closely with our Raw Materials Supply Planning team and grow the capabilities of our Supply Chain team, with the focus of building a resilient Tier 2 supply chain for our apparel, equipment, and footwear product. Helping drive relationships with our raw materials suppliers, you will ensure that they meet our expectations in key indicators such as cost, quality, capability, and delivery.

You will enable, protect, and challenge our business practices with data, consideration, and teamwork. You will develop the next Supply Chain superstars while modeling leadership across the organization.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Raw Materials Sourcing team is part of the broader Raw Materials team and works closely with the Raw Materials Supply Planning team, Finished Goods Sourcing and Supply Planning teams to grow our business. You will be working with Raw Materials Development, Merchandising, Quality, Product Integrity, Compliance, sustainability, Product Development and our Asia office to ensure that our supply chain can deliver on capacity and cost while looking to anticipate the future needs of the business.

If you were the Senior Raw Materials Sourcing Specialist, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:


  • Managing the execution of seasonal raw materials sourcing strategy – collaborating with all partners to support seasonal commercialization and special projects, while ensuring timely and accurate communication
  • Driving strategic projects with raw materials and supply chain teams and consultant, while tracking and providing regular updates on progress
  • Building team culture that fosters urgency, efficiency, and curiosity
  • Driving sustainability efforts in particular circularity and preferred material workstreams
  • Developing key RM supplier relationships in line with long-term T2 sourcing strategy
  • Evolving and optimizing RM Sourcing org dates, KPIs, processes, and deliverables to meet the needs of seasonal Go To Market Calendar
  • Proactively identifying, analyzing, and mitigating supply risks in collaboration with the rest of the business
  • Developing documentation of record for RM Sourcing organization operations, processes and KPI’s
  • Driving continuous collaboration and process improvement between our T1 and T2 teams for a complete supply chain driven approach
  • Supporting long term forecast commitments and measuring purchase activity and variance
  • Developing cost negotiation strategy in partnership with cross functional teams
  • Keeping Arc’teryx at the cutting edge of material manufacturing technologies and ensuring that our supply chain follows
  • Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain
  • Working closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity building (at least annually)
  • Adhering to negotiated lead times and balanced annual capacities to expedite responsible purchasing practices as outlined in the Responsible Sourcing Policy

  • Administering delivery models for speed to market programs that improve our agility and grow our DTC business
  • Building a resilient supply chain that can respond quickly to natural disaster and geo-political disturbances


Are you our next Senior Raw Materials Sourcing Specialist?


  • You have 5+ years experience in the apparel industry with a focus on sourcing, operations, planning, purchasing, or manufacturing
  • A degree in Supply Chain Management or related business fields is a plus
  • Foreign language skills are a plus
  • You have excellent communication skills, ability to relate to all levels of stakeholders.
  • You have strong leadership, interpersonal, facilitation, and project management experience.
  • You can think strategically and balance the needs of multiple cross functional teams
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Excel and PLM systems
  • You are numbers and data driven and take an analytical approach to your decision making.
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
  • You know when to use your voice and take a stand on important ethical and sustainability issues that impact our business

$91,000 - $114,000 a year

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$91,000 - CAD$114,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.

Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
