Our client, a dynamic law firm with offices nationwide, is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join their team in Vancouver!
About The Job
- Review files, identify legal issues, and prepare/maintain records and documents
- Assist counsel with preparing for chambers, examinations for discovery, mediation, and trials
- Prepare correspondence and pleadings, including various legal documents
- Conduct legal research
- Proficient and knowledgeable with the Rules of Court and court procedures
- Manage and schedule client meetings, examinations for discovery, and court-related attendances
- Assistance with administrative tasks such as scanning, photocopying, and filing documents
- 5+ years of experience working as a Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal
- Post-secondary legal education
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong interest in Family Law
- Competence in filing documents at the courthouse
- Proficiency in preparing engagement letters and intake documents
- Experience in scheduling consultations, meetings, and conferences
This role offers a salary up to $82,000, commensurate with experience, robust benefits, and the opportunity to work from home once a week after the probationary period.
