About The Opportunity

The Site Physician Advisor is responsible to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Medical Site Lead and effectively coordinates all administrative and Medical Education activities within the Hospital. The position acts as a liaison with the Zone Medical Executive Directors office and the Zone Medical Leadership group which consists of Department Heads and Site Leads spread across three regional Hospitals in the Northern Zone. In addition to supporting Zone Medical Leaders, the position will also work with clinicians within the Hospital to help coordinate medical student placements and build relationships with the community to promote and attract the area as a desirable place to train, work and live.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Post-Secondary diploma in a recognized office administration, business administration or secretarial program
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience, providing administrative support and office coordination at an executive level
  • Medical terminology knowledge is required
  • Undergraduate degree is an asset
  • International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) certification is an asset
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritizing and organizational skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office is essential
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational, communication (verbal and written)
  • High level of organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to exercise appropriate independent judgment
  • Ability to determine appropriate priorities and be self-directed
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish positive outcomes
  • Ability to maintain absolute discretion and integrity regarding confidential information
  • Ability to work effectively with physicians, management, staff, and community partners in a pleasant and efficient manner
  • Ability to maintain a fast work pace and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently or with others
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

Long assignment, full-time position, 75 hrs bi-weekly

Beginning as soon as possible with an expected end date of Oct 30, 2025 (Approximately 12 months)

Compensation And Benefits

$25.13 - $31.61 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
