Details:
The Water/Wastewater Treatment Technician contributes to the effective operation of the Physical Plants within the Halifax Regional Centre for Education and implements the principles of good energy management stewardship. Responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of supply water and wastewater treatment systems and ancillary treatment equipment at all buildings owned and operated by the HRCE. These duties include work of plumber or similar tradesperson's competence, physical capability, and mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude. The position reports to the Regional Manager and takes direction during shifts from on duty maintenance supervisors.

Classification: Trades 2 - NSUPE $29.68 per hour.
Water/Wastewater Treatment Technicians are members of the Nova Scotia Union of Public & Private Employees, Local 2. The NSUPE Collective Agreement can be accessed HERE .
