Pipe Fitter/ Gas Technician

• Inspecting and diagnosing issues with piping systems and plumbing fixtures.
• Installing pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.
• Repairing or replacing damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
• Clearing obstructions from sink drains and toilets.
• Proficiency in the use of tools and equipment required to perform the functions of the position.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Collaborating with plant supervision, contractors, mechanics and electricians
• Ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards in all installations and repairs.
• Reports safety hazards, incidents, and deficiencies to immediate supervisor.
• Ensure all installations and repairs are compliant with government regulations.
• Familiarity with the intricacies of working with PVC, ABS, cast iron, and copper, etc.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Clean-up worksite after work is performed.
• Maintains daily journal of work performed and inventory of supplies

• Gas License and Gas License Class 1 will be considered as asset
• Plumber licence mandatory
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Industrial Plumbing experience considered as asset
• Applicant(s) must be physically fit and be able to withstand vertical heights
• May be required to pass a specific medical examination related to the physical requirements of the position before being accepted

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday: 7am to 3pm

Must be available in case of emergency

Hourly Wage: 41,99$
