Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for ensuring the portfolio of our iconic brands including Smartfood, SunChips and Rold Gold is rooted in long-term growth strategy and an innovation pipeline grounded in consumer insight
  • Lead the strategic planning process (from Brand Growth Strategy through to Annual Operating Plan) for the portfolio, developing strategies/partnerships and opportunities consistent with brand positioning and builds on equity
  • Act as an Owner, leading and collaborating with key cross-functional partners to ensure coordination of all marketing activities and timely execution with excellence
  • Lead Total Connections Planning (i.e. Media & Communications plans) across the brands, working with Insights and Agency partners to deliver effective programming with a human-centricity approach
  • Wire, collaborate and influence with US/Global counterparts to ensure shared learning and strategic alignment; Unique opportunity to own Canadian-led work and also harness North American/Global expertise/resources
  • Expertly manage your budget to maximize ROI across all initiatives

Qualifications

  • Must have a University Degree in Business/Commerce or Marketing
  • 4+ years’ experience in marketing (i.e. brand, shopper, channel or innovation)
  • Proven strategic thinking skills
  • Proven leadership capability with x-func teams and agency partners
  • Strong analytical skills, taking data to insights in order to deliver fact-based recommendations
  • Strong problem solving and sound business judgement; ability to anticipate issues and resolve them
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and influence at all levels
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to take initiative, seek out creative ideas, solutions and best practices to get better results
