Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the Heavy Equipment Mechanic include
- Inspect, service and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment including excavators, loaders, graders, bulldozers, zoom booms and scissor lifts
- Perform preventative maintenance and make required repairs
- Ability to read/trouble shoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics
- Maintain documentation of inspections, maintenance and repairs
- Physical endurance being able to lift 50 lbs. at a time
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Work well unsupervised
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with ability to stand for long lengths of time
- Ability to lift 50Lbs
- Level 3 apprentice or higher
- Valid drivers license with a clean abstract
- Class 5 Driver License an asset
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Compensation $30.00-$40.00 per hour
