The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a driven and creative Industrial Sales and Rentals Representative to join our team in Kelowna, British Columbia. As the Industrial Sales and Rentals Representative, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of all sales and business development activity in your assigned territory. This position provides a significant opportunity for learning and career growth for an aspiring equipment sales professional.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Industrial Sales and Rentals Representative your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the sales strategy and plan in your assigned territory, including prospecting, sales lead follow-ups, and building and maintaining strong relationships with customers
  • Retaining and growing top customer accounts by proactively identifying opportunities and presenting innovative solutions
  • Negotiating prices and making deals, turning leads into sales
  • Identifying and building relationships with decision makers within existing accounts, creating an ongoing relationship strategy and establishing Leavitt as a trusted advisor
  • Providing input on target customer opportunities, ensuring alignment with the overall account strategy
  • Forecasting and delivering on accounts to ensure success against contract terms
  • Coordinating with product experts to identify and capitalize on expansion and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
  • Conducting follow ups with customers on orders, quotes, and services requested
  • Sourcing competitor information and analyzing competitor product offerings and pricing to overcome client objections

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • 1-3 years of prior experience in B2B equipment sales is considered an asset
  • Post-secondary education in Sales, Business, or a related discipline preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel within British Columbia as needed
  • A valid driver’s license is required

The base pay range for this role is: $40,000 base salary, plus initial bridge salary and uncapped commission.

This is an onsite role based in Kelowna, British Columbia.
