What you'll be doing...


Reporting to the Supervisor, Fleet Project Engineering the Fleet Project Engineer will be involved in providing engineering, technical guidance and analysis pertaining to fleet procurement, modifications, performance and environmental impact and sustainability related to BC Transit’s fleet assets.



What you'll bring to the table...


We value lifelong learners and have found that a mix of any of the following credentials have set people up for success in this role in the past:


  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Be registered or be eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) as an engineer-in-training (EIT) or professional engineer (P.Eng).
  • A successful applicant, not yet registered with EGBC, must be registered within six (6) months of employment for ongoing employment.
  • A condition of ongoing employment includes EIT employees obtaining their P.Eng designation once eligible to do so and be able to demonstrate successful progress in this regard. P.Eng employees must continue to maintain active membership status with EGBC.

What next steps could look like...

  • Interviews will be conducted mid to late October 2024. An assessment may be sent to shortlisted applicants in conjunction with their interview invitations
  • An eligibility list for future full time regular and temporary full-time vacancies may be established
