About The Role

We’re looking for a Claims Representative II - Auto Total Loss to join our growing team!

What You'll Do Here

  • Full investigation, evaluation, analysis, negotiation and settlement of automobile total loss claims.
  • Analyze the information gathered, determine liability, and review assessment of the damages.
  • Validate details of the Insured's policy to determine coverage.
  • Review file for salvage and subrogation exposure and potential.
  • Interview the insured and/or witnesses to collect their statements of events to settle claims within your given authority level.
  • Provide quality service to external or internal customers.
  • Answer queries relating to investigations and the claims process.
  • Ensure timely follow up with customers on the status of their claim.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Minimum of high school diploma.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Telephone Adjuster, Commercial Adjuster, Total Loss Expert or similar position.
  • Hold a valid Provincial Auto Adjustor license for Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Completion or working towards CIP completion.
  • Strong understanding of the claims process.
  • Ability to handle highly complex Auto Claims.
  • Negotiating and conveying claim settlements within authority limits to insureds.
  • Sustain a high level of performance and productivity.
  • Bilingualism (English and French), although not a requirement is considered a strong asset.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
