We are seeking a Graduate Engineer (Air Emissions) to join our Western Canada Air, GHG and Noise Team, based in our Vancouver, BC office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working with intermediate and senior staff in all aspects of project work including documentation review. Greenhouse gas emission calculations and reporting
  • Review, understand and interpret provincial and federal acts and regulations
  • Data compilation interpretation and evaluation against relevant regulations
  • Assist with air emission calculations
  • Preparation of portions of technical reports
  • Conduct site visits and field activities for projects within and outside of Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan
  • Work with GHD’s Air & Noise Group, consisting of over 80 engineers and scientists across North America
  • Support where required on future energy and sustainability projects including biogas, hydrogen conversion, CCUS, ESG

Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Process Engineering or other relevant engineering
  • Understanding of chemical process, unit operations, heat and mass balance
  • Managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment
  • Knowledge of Alberta, BC, and/or Sask regulations pertaining to air and noise (i.e. Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, TIER)
  • Must be flexible with project types and responsibilities
  • Excellent attention to detail along with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to complete work under tight deadlines when required
  • Written and verbal communication skills are essential to this position
  • Must hold a valid class 5 driver’s license

Salary Range: $64-76k, based on experience.
