Senior Test Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Test Analyst for a 10-month contract position, with possible extensions, in Edmonton, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

This role is primarily remote. Hours of work are 8:15am-4:30pm mountain time (7.25 hours per day, 36.25 hours per week).

Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Test Analyst to provide execution and facilitation of testing activities for assigned projects, working with the team to plan, develop and deliver major additions and enhancements aligned with company initiatives. You will develop, execute and facilitate testing activities, leveraging our client’s testing standards, processes and best practices to ensure a consistent approach throughout the project.

Responsibilities

• Execute Smoke, Unit, System, Regression, UAT testing of newly developed integrations and interfaces
• Review, evaluate and provide test input during business requirements and design specifications gathering sessions
• Identify and communicate testing issues, implement process improvement and issue resolution
• Identify the target test items to be evaluated by the test effort
• Define the appropriate tests required and any associated test data
• Gather and manage the test data
• Evaluate the outcome of each test cycle
• Identify the most appropriate implementation approach for a given test
• Log outcomes and verify test execution
• Analyze and recover from execution errors
• Track test results, statistics, metrics and status
• Attend necessary meetings to review testing inputs/outputs and provide status updates
• Support project team members in the analysis of issues, utilization of automated testing tools and to create documents for training

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or an equivalent field
• 8 years of experience understanding SAP software and project implementation methodology
• 8 years of experience testing in both web and mobile environments
• 8 years of experience developing and delivering training materials
• 4 years of experience with smoke testing, unit testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing and use acceptance testing
• 4 years of experience preparing and supporting test plans and test cases, as well as preparing test data, executing tests and verifying results
• 4 years of experience with user acceptance testing including creation of user acceptance plan, status reporting and managing assigned tasks
• 4 years of experience assisting in reviewing, evaluating and providing test input during business requirements gathering and detailed design specifications
• 4 years experience maintaining traceability of test cases to requirements
• 4 years experience with user acceptance testing including creation of user acceptance plan, status reporting and managing assigned tasks
• 4 years experience working as a Solution (application) Tester in a custom software application development environment
• 4 years of experience with migration of SAP Process Orchestration solutions to new S/4 HANA cloud integration platforms
• Ability to translate business needs into solutions with SAP BTP
• Experience and understanding of software quality assurance QA, Testing and Defect Lifecycle
• 4 years of experience with business & AMS representatives to analyze issues reported by (or in) production
• 4 years of experience writing test cases for use cases, non-functional requirements and design documents
• 4 years of experience working with 3rd party vendors for integrations and interfaces
• 2 years of experience in SAP Integration Suite (API Management, EM, Open Connectors, Integration Advisor) is a plus
• Experience with security concepts, designs and implementations is a plus
• Experience with Selenium load testing is a plus
• Integration Suite experience with configuring standard content for Cloud Solutions (SF, ARIBA, Concur, Fieldglass, etc.) is a plus
• Hands-on experience in developing custom interfaces with BTP Cloud Integration suite is a plus
